Wellbeing:

Little Wild Theatre is driven to support children’s wellbeing through theatrical experiences of the natural world.

In early childhood, children are learning to understand and manage their emotions, build resilience, and feel safe within themselves and the world around them. Their brains are rapidly developing the foundations for emotional regulation, secure attachment, and emotional literacy, making this a crucial time to nurture these skills and give them strong emotional roots that will support them throughout life

When this isn’t nurtured from an early age, it can lead to long-term mental health outcomes and overall wellbeing later in life. Our work is a creative health informed response to this, equipping children with tools to understand & manage their feelings from an early age.

Through creative, fun, heart warming theatre that puts our audience at the centre of our work, we support children to develop emotional tools that nurture wellbeing long beyond early childhood.

Inclusivity:

Theatre should be a place for everyone . Inclusivity is at the heart of everything we do here at Little Wild. At our shows and workshops, your children are free to move around, play, wiggle and interact with our puppets and sensory materials.

All of our shows have BSL integrated storytelling, and our performers are all trained in working with SEN audiences, adapting to their individual needs in the moment.

We have SEN adapted performances of all our shows which places sensory storytelling, sensory sequencing & music at the heart of the stories. These performances respond to the needs of the children in the moment, and is entirely led by them.

We are continually developing new ways to ensure our work is accessible, inclusive & open to all.
